Introducing our 1979 Single Harvest Tawny Port

The 1979 assumes 'The Artisan' name in The Cellar Master's Trilogy

Introducing a special new addition to The Cellar Master’s Trilogy – our 1979 Single Harvest Tawny Port.

Replacing the 1974 as ‘The Artisan’, the 1979 was initially selected for long-term ageing by Peter Symington (3rd gen.), and now, 47 years later, it has been chosen for this limited bottling by his son and successor, Charles (4th gen.).

After almost half a century ageing at the Graham’s 1890 Lodge, around half of the wine’s original volume has been lost to evaporation, or ‘the angel’s share’.

The result is a wine of exquisite concentration with enticing aromas of honeysuckle and butterscotch, a voluptuous, silky palate, and a long satisfying finish.

'The Artisan' 1979 Single Harvest Tawny Port will be available both individually and as part of the complete Cellar Master’s Trilogy Collection, including ‘The Apprentice’ 1997, ‘The Artisan’ 1979, and ‘The Master’ 1961 Single Harvest Tawny Ports.
